Bachelor of Science - Nursing (Honours) (Degree)
Practical Nursing (Ontario College Diploma)
Earn your two-year Practical Nursing diploma and prepare for your career as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), with positions in hospitals, long-term care homes and community agencies.
Or invest in Sault College’s four-year Honours Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) degree with clinical placements beginning the first semester of the program to help you better prepare for a successful career as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Beginning this January, if you are already an RPN working in the field, you can enroll in the new Registered Practical Nurse to BScN bridging program, enabling you to extend your education from RPN to RN. After doing one bridge semester, you will move into the third year of our bachelor program.
Learn in our simulation labs, where you will practice your nursing skills with life-like mannequins that can talk, breathe, and deliver babies. Be instructed by experienced nurses and gain clinical experience in nursing homes, Sault Area Hospital, and a variety of other agencies.
Ontario Learn and Stay Grant
Students starting the Bachelor of Science - Nursing (Honours) (BScN) program or the Practical Nursing (PN) program at Sault College in September 2025 will be eligible to apply for the grant which provides full, upfront funding for tuition, books, and other direct educational costs.
The grant will support postsecondary students enrolled in targeted priority programs in underserved communities, including BScN and PN at Sault College, by providing funding in exchange for committing to serve in the north region after graduation. It is a key component of Ontario’s A Plan to Stay Open, announced in March 2022, which includes a number of measures to recruit more people to commit to working within the province’s health system.
