Are you in high school and looking to explore college? Maybe you haven't completed your Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and are looking for options to work on your high school credits? The School-College-Work-Initiative (SCWI) offers programs at Sault College to support student success with Dual Credit opportunities for high school students and School Within A College (SWAC) for students experiencing difficulty completing their diploma.
Dual Credits give students facing challenges, yet showing potential and interest in college success, an opportunity to focus on their education goals. In partnership with the Algoma District School Board, Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board, Garden River First Nation Education Unit and Batchewana Learning Centre, Sault College is excited to offer dual credit opportunities for students in grade 11 and 12 within the Algoma community.
Dual Credit programs are funded by the School-College-Work-Initiative
The School-College-Work-Initiative (SCWI) is a cooperative effort of the Council of Ontario Directors of Education (CODE) and the Committee of College Presidents (COP) and is jointly funded by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. SCWI provides opportunities for district school boards and colleges to bring together faculty, teachers and administrators to work collaboratively to increase opportunities for student success.
