(Sault Ste. Marie, ON March 8, 2023) – Yesterday, our College community proudly joined together to celebrate the outstanding academic achievements of more than 170 first year students at the College’s annual President’s Academic Excellence Scholarship Ceremony. The ceremony honoured qualifying first year students who achieved an overall grade point average of 4.0: an amazing accomplishment.
“One of the many highlights of our academic year is the celebration of our students and their commitment to academic excellence,” said Dr. Ron Common, President, Sault College. “We proudly share in their educational journey and successes and are honoured to be able to recognize them for their ongoing hard-work and dedication through this Scholarship. I am honoured to stand beside each of these students and personally recognize and celebrate them for their commitment to their academics.”
Recognizing student achievements through the Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards (SBA) program has been a pillar of Sault College since 1972. To complement this, the following first-year students, who applied online to the SBA program, were recognized at the 2022-23 President’s Academic Excellence Scholarship ceremony for achieving a 4.0 GPA in the fall semester:
