Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario – January 17, 2025 – Sault College proudly celebrates the achievement of Jonathan Boyer-Nolan, a valued member of its Board of Governors, who was recently awarded the Indigenous Visionary Award of Distinction by the Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce. This STRIVE Young Professional Award, sponsored by Ontario Lottery & Gaming Corporation (OLG), recognizes outstanding young Indigenous leaders, business owners, entrepreneurs, and difference-makers, who have significantly impacted their communities through innovation, leadership, and social progress.
Jonathan is a champion for Indigenous youth and adults, dedicated to breaking down barriers, opening doors, and fostering inclusion. His transformative work has created pathways to opportunity, empowerment, and meaningful participation in education, employment, and beyond.
Jonathan’s work is impactful at Sault College, where he served as President of the Indigenous Student Council during his studies. His advocacy for Indigenous students and his commitment to fostering inclusive environments have made lasting contributions to the College. Now, as a member of the Board of Governors, Jonathan continues to provide invaluable insight and leadership, helping to shape the future of the College and its role in the community.
