Prerequisite: You must have a valid Ontario Ministry of Transportation Class M1 permit prior to starting the course. Certified instructors deliver Sault College’s Motorcycle Training: Basic (Gearing Up Program). The program is 18 hours long, with 3 hours in-class and 15 hours on-bike. Motorcycles are provided. Upon successful completion, you will be eligible to receive your M2 license without further testing. Mandatory riding gear: DOT-approved helmet; heavy, long-sleeve jacket; heavy pants (leather or jeans with no tears or rips); leather gloves; and boots that cover the ankle. An information package will be available upon registration.
Weekend Classes are held Friday from 6:00pm-9:00pm, and both Saturday and Sunday from 9:00am-5:00pm.
