The OpportunityThis position will provide assistance to the Waterfront Supervisor and the Food and Beverage Associates in the preparation, and service delivery of food and beverages to the members as well as the general public during all hours of operations including weekends, evenings, and some weekdays.  The incumbent will be responsible for food and beverage transactions, serving of food and beverage while maintaining the cleanliness of the facility.

What you need to be successful:

  • required certifications:
    • First Aid/CPR/AED certification
    • Smart Serve certification
    • Safe Food handler certification
  • basic culinary skills suitable to prepare small food orders
  • ability to operate café equipment including espresso machine, oven, and dishwasher
  • experience serving food and beverage, including alcoholic beverages
  • excellent customer service skills
  • experience with the operation of POS systems
  • ability to handle cash, and process transactions
  • excellent attention to detail
  • knowledge of products and services offered
  • ability to monitor the functional status of the kitchen and patio area
  • excellent conflict resolution skills to aid in situations including customer complaints
  • experience with booking software an asset
  • ensuring the capacity levels outlined by APH regarding zones for indoor and outdoor facility usage

 

This is a student position, $15/hr, up to 24 hours per week, required from May 10, 2021 to August, 2021.
