The Opportunity:   Food and Beverage Associate toprovide assistance to the Waterfront Supervisor in the preparation and service delivery of food and beverages to the membership as well as the general public during all hours of operations including: weekends, evenings, and some weekdays. The incumbent will be responsible for food and beverage transactions, and serving of food and beverage while maintaining the cleanliness and inventory of the facility.

What you need to be successful:

  • Certificate in Food Handling or nutrition/cooking
  • required certifications:
    • CPR and First Aid
    • Smart Serve
    • Safe Food Handling
  • up to one year experience in a licensed restaurant/canteen, institutional setting and/or a commercial kitchen
  • basic culinary skills suitable to prepare small order food preparations/orders
  • experience serving food and beverage, including alcoholic beverages, in a fast-paced environment
  • experience with cash handling, electronic transactions and report balances
  • experience with the operation of POS systems
  • proven customer service skills
  • excellent oral and written communication skills
  • strong organizational and time management skills
  • excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a team
  • strong problem solving and decision making skills

This is a temporary part-time support staff position, up to 24 hours/week, $20.80 required until October 2021.
