Diwali is one of India’s major festivals. It is called the "festival of lights" as people decorate their homes with magnificent lights (Diya) and Rangoli celebrating that God Ram returned to Ayodhya after 14 years and defeated Ravana by lighting rows of clay lamps.
“Sault College is very excited to once again host a Diwali celebration on campus,” said Jennifer Johnson, Manager, International Services and Recruitment, Sault College. “Many of our students and community members celebrate Diwali and we wanted to open our doors and show our support for this amazing cultural celebration. All are welcome to attend, so be sure to get your tickets today,” she added.
Parking for the event is free in the J South parking lot.
