WHERE TO EAT ON CAMPUS

Tim Horton’s & Subway

Need your Timmy’s fix? We have a Tim Horton’s right on campus where you can get a steamy cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate and freshly-made doughnuts, muffins, bagels, and breakfast sandwiches.

Delicious wraps, sandwiches, and fresh soup served daily are available at Subway conveniently located across from Tim Hortons.

Chartwells Cafeteria

Head to the cafeteria to enjoy hot meals that are served quickly so you can get back to class on-time. A hot pot or two of soup is always on, and choices change every day. The ever-popular Pizza Pizza is served in slices here, and Tim Horton's tea and coffee is also available – including fair trade coffee that recognizes the work of coffee growers globally. Customized stir fries are a favourite, as are the "on the go" sandwiches and salads that are made fresh daily. The caf is a great place to find a table to work on an assignment with just you or in a group if you thrive in the hub-bub of a crowd. Open Monday to Thursday from 7:00am-8:30pm and Friday from 7:00am-6:00pm with different meals made each day. Use your meal plan while checking out; debit and credit are accepted as well.

Chef’s Kitchen

Go exploring down to the L-wing for the culinary student and faculty food store that has all the delicious creations made fresh that morning for sale at a very reasonable price. The food here sells out very quickly and when it’s gone, the shop closes for the day, so you’ll want to make it down around 11:15am for the best choice of items. Offerings vary daily, depending on what the chef’s lesson had in store for students – including gourmet meals and delicious desserts. Soup is also served and changes each day.

Accepts cash only and does not accept meal plan cards. One of the best kept secrets at Sault College, the Chef’s kitchen is where you’ll want to go if you’re on a budget but still want to enjoy a homemade, delicious meal made by your fellow students.

Odeno

Located in the Student Health and Wellness Centre is a student-driven licensed restaurant and lounge offering healthy, affordable menu items with exciting daily specials, to-go options and even some of your favourites from the pub menu. The unique comfortable northern décor will invite you in – the food will bring you back.

Common Grounds

Just outside the gym, Common Grounds offers fresh smoothies, protein shakes, energy drinks or a great cup of your favourite warm beverage.

Native Centre

If it’s nurturing you’re after, the Native Centre is the place to go. Free soup is often served for lunch and everyone is welcome to come together and socialize. A warm and welcoming space that’s always open with desks and tables where you can study. Built in a circular structure, warm sunlight spills in from the wall-to-wall windows, and computers are free to use.
