RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. Mandatory orientation sessions will be provided to all members. The orientation session will provide the guidelines for safe training and common courtesies in the Fitness Centre.
  2. To ensure your safety and the quality of your workout please ask for assistance if you are not familiar with the equipment.  
  3. All members are welcome to use the facility during posted regular hours. If non-members wish to use the facility, they may purchase a day pass at the Fitness Centre office.
  4. All members must carry their membership card with them while at the fitness facility.
  5. Please lock all personal items in the locker room. Lockers are available for day use only. Locks remaining on lockers at the end of the day will be removed by staff.
  6. For the protection of members and students, use of cell phones is strictly prohibited in the locker rooms.
  7. Water and plastic water bottles are permitted in the Fitness Centre; however food and/or tobacco in any form will not be permitted.
  8. Acceptable dress will include athletic active wear and clean non-marking athletic shoes. Shirts and shoes must be worn at all times.  
  9. The use of profanity or clothing with suggestive or profane sayings is not allowed.
  10. Please wipe down equipment immediately after use with the cleaning products provided.
  11. In order to protect the equipment please return plates and dumbbells to the correct rack and avoid placing them on the benches.
  12. Please report any facility-related injury to the Fitness Centre staff.
  13. Please report any broken, cracked or damaged equipment to the Fitness Centre staff.
  14. Only Sault College Fitness Centre certified staff or Fitness and Health Promotion students on placement may conduct personal training sessions in the facility.
  15. There is a replacement fee of $15 for lost membership cards.
